At Vacy Public School, we are dedicated to providing students with opportunities to excel in all areas.
We recognise and embrace the unique strengths and talents of our students by providing a variety of opportunities. Celebrations enable us to honour cultural heritage while fostering a passion for storytelling, learning, and personal identity. Our dedication to High Potential and Gifted Education guarantees that every student is both challenged and supported to reach their full potential in academic, creative, physical, and social-emotional areas.
Vacy Public School is proud to be a partner in the Dungog District Community of Schools. Together, we encourage participation and inclusion, working closely with our local high school, Dungog High School, to offer a supportive transition program for our students. This program helps build confidence and ensures that students and their families feel well-prepared and supported as they move into their new high school environment.
Throughout the year, our students take part in a variety of sporting activities, including carnivals, gala days, and PSSA competitions. We also strive to involve the community by hosting special assemblies, recognition days, and our popular Mother’s and Father’s Day breakfasts. Our school joyfully marks occasions like Book Week and Easter with lively parades, while students showcase their artistic talents through musical performances and the Star Struck event. Moreover, students broaden their learning experiences with numerous excursions and incursions, such as the 5/6 camps and various stage-specific trips.
There is always something to celebrate at our school. From thrilling events to proud achievements, every day is a wonderful day at Vacy!
State Athletics Representative
Sienna has progressed from participating in the school athletics carnival to being selected for the regional competition and subsequently advancing to the state level in both the 100m and 200m events.
Robocup Nationals
Caleb, Bryce, and Taine proudly represented Vacy Public School at the Robocup Nationals. They performed exceptionally well, achieving 6th place overall. Excellent work, boys—well done!
Dungog District Community of Schools
Vacy Public School is a member of the Dungog District Community of Schools. In partnership with our local high school, Dungog High School, we engage in a variety of activities including Cultural Days, Public Education Week celebrations, Film Festivals, Science Week events, and STEM competitions to foster strong collaborations and support a seamless transition to high school.
