Zone Athletics

The Maitland Zone Athletics Carnival will be held at Maitland Regional Athletics Centre, High Street Maitland on Friday 2nd August, 2024 (Term 3, Week 2).

Vacy School competitors will be seated in the grandstand closest to High St.

First event will be marshalled at 8am (1500m)
The 100m is the only event that will have a final on the day. All other events will be timed finals.
Any competitor withdrawing from an event at the carnival for a reason other than documented medical reasons will be withdrawn from all events following on the day.
A canteen will be operating at the centre.
The centre is an all-weather track - it is unlikely that the carnival will be postponed because of weather. Any updates will be made on the Maitland Zone PSSA Facebook Page.
Only competitors and officials can attend marshalling and event areas or cross the track throughout the day.

Students will be provided with a Vacy PS representative shirt on the day. Students can wear navy running shorts and a pair of joggers. Spikes are permitted and need to be used responsibly. The canteen line can be long so students should bring ample food and water for the day.

Private transport - please arrange with another parent/carer if you are not able to transport your child. Students must be signed in and out of the event by Mr Smith on the day.
